The beautiful beaches of Cabo Roig have once again been awarded the prestigious award of the European Blue Flag for the cleanliness of the beaches, safety and facilities that are on offer at Cabo Roig for 2008.
As quoted from the Blue Flag website:
- Fine Sand.
- Urban Beach.
- Life saving timetable: From 15/6 to 15/9.
- Public transport, accommodation, sport installation and handicap facilities
- Near natural sites: Escalona Mountain and important forestal masses.
Not only has the main beach of Cabo Roig been awarded the Blue Flag, but also Cala Capitan which is located on the other side has also been awarded the Blue Flag – a normal award for both beaches!
On both beaches you can enjoy the sun in peace, lie in the golden sands, take part in water sports, or simply a nice dip in the sea!
The Cabo Roig strip is only a short 5 to 10 minute walk away from the beaches, so you can enjoy a nice cold drink in the shade after a couple of hours in the sun!
The beaches are kept clean to a very high standard and are safe for young families taking their children to the beach safe in the knowledge that life guards are on hand during the season months.
